KB: Create a new resolution state in SCOM

This article shows you how to create a new (custom) resolution state in SCOM

In the SCOM console, navigate to the Administration section and then to Settings, now open the Alerts configuration.

In the alerts configuration dialog we can configure and add new resolution states for alerts in SCOM. To create a new resolution state click the New button.

In the Add Alert Resolution State dialog enter a descriptive name for the resolution state you would like to add (the example uses SeviceNow 1) and select a unique ID (101 in this example). Click the OK button to exit the Add Alert Resolution State dialog, and click OK again to exit the Alerts settings.
