We are excited to announce that a new release of the Opslogix Capacity Planning Reports Management Pack for SCOM (V.1.0.13.11) is now available.
This release is a major update with new reports and a new forecasting engine.
New reports:
- Capacity overview: every server and instance for a counter, soonest to reach your threshold first, with a chart per row.
- Top N at risk: only the instances that need attention first, built for a weekly e-mail.
- Capacity heat map: days left for every server and disk in a group, as a colour grid.
- Capacity profile: disks, memory, CPU, SQL files or Hyper-V hosts for a whole group in one run, with your own profiles.
Each is available for percentage and absolute counters (MB, GB, TB).
Better forecasts:
- Five forecast models, with Best fit choosing the most accurate one per series.
- Level shift detection: after a cleanup or an added disk, only the new trend counts.
- Every date comes with a 95% range and data quality notes.
Plan ahead:
- The Plan column tells you when to act and how much capacity to add for 6, 12 or 24 months.
- What-if scenarios: faster growth or added capacity.
Easier to use:
- New design with collapsible charts, tooltips and sortable columns.
- Free space shown as % used; Free and Available counters are detected automatically.
- Your own logo with a PowerShell script.
Fixes:
- Importing the reports no longer removes your licence key.
- A forecast that cannot be calculated shows the reason instead of an empty report.
Upgrading from 1.0.3
Ten older reports are replaced. Recreate their subscriptions on the new reports. Your licence and logo are kept. On SQL Server 2017 and later, run the included Trust-OpsLogixCapacityAssembly.sql before importing, so SQL Server's CLR strict security can stay on. See the Installation Guide or our knowledge base.
