Use your own logo in the capacity reports

Replace the OpsLogix logo in the capacity reports with your own logo, using Set-CapacityReportLogo.ps1. Management pack upgrades keep it.

All capacity reports show a logo at the top left. By default it is the OpsLogix logo. You can replace it with your own in one step, without changing the management pack. The script Set-CapacityReportLogo.ps1 comes with the management pack download.

The logo at the top left of a capacity report

The logo at the top left of every capacity report.

1. Prepare the logo

  • PNG (preferred), JPEG or GIF, at most 1 MB.
  • The logo is scaled to fit a box of 1.6 x 0.42 inch, keeping its proportions. A wide logo of about 4:1, for example 650 x 170 pixels, uses the box best. A square logo is shown about 0.4 inch high.
  • A transparent or white background blends with the report.

2. Set it

On a computer that can reach the data warehouse SQL Server, open PowerShell as an account that can change the data warehouse database (for example a member of db_owner on it) and run:

.\Set-CapacityReportLogo.ps1 -SqlServer DWSQL01 -Path C:\Branding\logo.png

Replace DWSQL01 with your data warehouse SQL Server instance, for example DWSQL01\SCOM. Add -Database when the data warehouse database is not called OperationsManagerDW. The script shows how large the logo will appear. The reports use it from their next run; no restart is needed.

3. Go back to the OpsLogix logo

.\Set-CapacityReportLogo.ps1 -SqlServer DWSQL01 -Remove

How it works

The logo is stored as the row CustomLogo in the table dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Images in the data warehouse. The reports use it instead of the OpsLogix logo (row OpsLogixLogo). Management pack upgrades only refresh the OpsLogix logo and keep yours. Running the script again replaces your logo.
