Remove the Capacity trending reports

How to remove the OpsLogix Capacity trending reports from SCOM, what is deleted from the data warehouse, and how to keep your own capacity profiles, logo and licence when you reinstall.

Applies to: OpsLogix Capacity trending reports 1.0.13 and later · SCOM 2019, 2022, 2025
Last updated: October 2026 · Reading time: 4 minutes

Removing the reports management pack also removes everything it installed in the SCOM data warehouse, including three tables that can hold your own data. Back them up first if you may reinstall later, for example to repair an installation.

What is deleted

  • The nine reports in Reporting Services, with the subscriptions, linked reports and favourites that use them.
  • The forecasting assembly, its functions and the OpsLogixCapacityReports_* stored procedures in the data warehouse.
  • The table OpsLogixCapacityReports_Profile, with any capacity profiles you added or changed.
  • The table OpsLogixCapacityReports_Images, with your own logo.
  • The table OpsLogixCapacityReports_License, with your licence key.

Performance data in the data warehouse is not touched.

1. Back up your own data

Run this in the data warehouse database (default name OperationsManagerDW). It copies the three tables to backup tables that the removal does not delete.

IF OBJECT_ID('dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Profile') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Profile;
SELECT * INTO dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Profile FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Profile;

IF OBJECT_ID('dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Images') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Images;
SELECT ImageName, MimeType, ImageBase64, ImageBits INTO dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Images
FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Images WHERE ImageName = 'CustomLogo';

IF OBJECT_ID('dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_License') IS NOT NULL DROP TABLE dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_License;
SELECT * INTO dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_License FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_License;

2. Delete the management packs

  1. In the SCOM console, go to Administration > Management Packs > Installed Management Packs and search for Capacity.
  2. Delete OpsLogix IMP - Capacity trending reports and, if you do not reinstall, OpsLogix IMP - Capacity trending reports License. Neither depends on the other, so the order does not matter.

The management server then runs the removal scripts in the data warehouse and removes the reports from Reporting Services. This takes a few minutes.

3. Remove the trusted assembly entries

If you trusted the assembly with sp_add_trusted_assembly, remove its entries. This needs the sysadmin role.

DECLARE @h varbinary(64);
DECLARE c CURSOR LOCAL FOR
  SELECT hash FROM sys.trusted_assemblies WHERE description LIKE 'opslogix.imp.capacity%';
OPEN c; FETCH NEXT FROM c INTO @h;
WHILE @@FETCH_STATUS = 0 BEGIN
  EXEC sys.sp_drop_trusted_assembly @h;
  FETCH NEXT FROM c INTO @h;
END
CLOSE c; DEALLOCATE c;

Leave CLR integration (clr enabled) switched on if other applications on that SQL Server use it.

Reinstall and restore

  1. Install the packs again as described in Install the Capacity trending reports. Importing the licence pack writes your licence key again.
  2. Restore your profiles and logo:
    DELETE FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Profile;
    INSERT INTO dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Profile
      (ProfileName, ItemName, ObjectName, CounterName, TypeReport,
       ReverseTrendDirection, PlanThreshold, SampleType, SortOrder)
    SELECT ProfileName, ItemName, ObjectName, CounterName, TypeReport,
           ReverseTrendDirection, PlanThreshold, SampleType, SortOrder
    FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Profile;

    INSERT INTO dbo.OpsLogixCapacityReports_Images (ImageName, MimeType, ImageBase64, ImageBits)
    SELECT ImageName, MimeType, ImageBase64, ImageBits FROM dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_Images;
    This puts the profiles back exactly as they were, including shipped profiles you had changed.
  3. If the reports show "No License Found", compare the licence table with dbo.OpsLogixCapacityBackup_License and see Capacity reports show "No License Found".
  4. When everything works, drop the three OpsLogixCapacityBackup_* tables.
