1. Remove custom management packs that depend on the Oracle packs
SCOM only removes a management pack when no other pack depends on it. First delete:
- Management packs with your Oracle overrides (for example "OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Overrides").
- Management packs created with the Oracle authoring templates.
2. Remove the Oracle management packs
Remove the packs in this order, in Administration > Management Packs or with PowerShell:
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Overrides
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Dashboards
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Config.Dashboard.2012
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Config.2012
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Reports
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.DataGuard
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Tasks
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Collector
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle
- OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Library
Import-Module OperationsManager
$MPs = "OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Overrides",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Dashboards",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Config.Dashboard.2012",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Config.2012",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Reports",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.DataGuard",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Tasks",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Collector",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle",
"OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.Library"
foreach ($mp in $MPs) {
Get-SCOMManagementPack -Name $mp | Remove-SCOMManagementPack
}
Packs that are not imported in your environment are skipped. If an older installation still has "OpsLogix.IMP.Oracle.ODAC.x64", remove it as well.
Keep "OpsLogix.BaseLibrary", the Opslogix Licensing Dashboard and "OpsLogix IMP Generic Reports" if you use other Opslogix management packs; they are shared.
3. Uninstall the Opslogix Oracle Collector
On every SCOM management or gateway server that was a member of the resource pool used for Oracle monitoring, uninstall "OpsLogix Oracle Collector" in "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features".
4. Optional: clean up
- Delete the SCOM resource pool you created for Oracle monitoring, if you don't use it for anything else.
- Drop the Oracle monitoring account (and the alertlog view, if you created it) in your Oracle databases.
