Troubleshooting: Install button is disabled when importing a new version

When you import a new release of the Oracle Management Pack, SCOM sometimes keeps the Install button disabled. This article explains why and how to continue.

Applies to: Opslogix Oracle Management Pack (all versions)
Last updated: October 2026 · Latest version: 26.4.4517.0

Symptom

You import a new release of the Oracle Management Pack in Administration > Management Packs > Import Management Packs. One or more management packs in the import list show a warning, and the Install button stays disabled.

Cause

The release package also contains shared Opslogix management packs that are used by several Opslogix products, such as OpsLogix.BaseLibrary, the Opslogix Licensing Dashboard (or the older Licensing UI) and OpsLogix IMP Generic Reports. These packs don't get a new version number in every release. If the same version is already imported in your management group, SCOM refuses to import it again, and the whole import is blocked.

Solution

  1. In the import list, select each management pack and read the status text below the list.
  2. For every pack that says it is already installed (same or higher version), click Remove to take it off the import list.
  3. When only packs with a new version are left, the Install button becomes available. Click it to import.

Important: only remove these packs from the import list. Do not uninstall them from SCOM; the Oracle Management Pack needs them, and no data is lost by skipping them in the import.

If you upgrade from a version lower than 1.3.2184.0, first remove the management pack "OpsLogix IMP - Licensing UI for OpsMgr 2012" from SCOM, as described in the Upgrade Guide.

After the import, continue with the remaining steps of the Upgrade Guide.
