Remove an instance in the configuration dashboard
- Open Administration > Opslogix MP Configuration > Oracle IMP Configuration Dashboard, tab Add/Remove Monitoring Instance.
- Select the resource pool that monitors the instance.
- In the list of added instances, select the instance you want to remove.
- Click Remove Instance and confirm.
SCOM then removes the instance and all objects that were discovered under it (tablespaces, data files, redo logs, backups and Data Guard objects). It can take a few minutes before they disappear from the views. Performance and availability data that is already in the SCOM data warehouse stays available for reports, according to your data warehouse retention.
License
The instance license that was assigned to the removed instance becomes available again. You can assign it to another instance on the Assign tab of the configuration dashboard.
Remove instances with PowerShell
To remove many instances at once, use Remove-SCOMOracleConnection from the PowerShell module. See KB: Automate the adding / removing / updating of a Oracle connection.
Expired license
In versions before 21.9.2568.0 you could not remove an instance when the license had expired. Upgrade to the latest version, or update the license first; see KB: How do I update my Opslogix Oracle Management Pack license.
Remove everything
To stop all Oracle monitoring and remove the management packs, see How to uninstall the Oracle Management Pack.
